Private apartment homes are available in spacious studio and one-bedroom floor plans, many with a private patio or balcony. Designed with comfort and convenience in mind, amenities include:

Get ready for real, down-home cooking, served in our Creekside Dining Room. Sweet tea, buttermilk biscuits, mounds of fresh vegetables, casseroles, cobblers — we take pride in the best of southern cooking traditions. We dish up food in a family-style atmosphere, while emphasizing taste and nutrition. Enjoy meals in our dining room, with a view of the trees and surrounding nature, or opt for room service. We can also accommodate some special diets. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or Sunday dinner, every delicious meal has a home-cooked flavor you’re sure to love.

Customized Care

The goal of assisted living at The Allegro at Helmwood is to help where needed, while allowing seniors to maintain the highest possible level of independence.

Working together with the resident and family, our attentive staff will develop a customized care plan and provide help with such personal needs as bathing, dressing and grooming; self-administration of medications; escorts and assistance with walking; and dining.

Memory Care

For residents with Alzheimer’s disease or other non-reversible dementias, The Allegro offers structured programs designed to encourage individuality and support each resident’s overall well-being.

Our philosophy of care is based on building a trusting relationship with each resident, thereby fostering emotional security. Because each day and each resident is different, staff emphasizes creatvity and flexibility when assisting residents with care needs such as dining, bathing, grooming and dressing.
