The Allegro at East Lake

August 12, 2009 — Tarpon Springs, FL — The Allegro at East Lake hosted the SHINE (serving health insurance needs of others) quarterly training for 38 volunteers. The Florida Department of Elder Affairs, in partnership with the Area Agency on Aging, administered the program.

The SHINE provides valuable information to Medicare beneficiaries, their representatives, caregivers, healthcare professionals, the disabled and many other community groups. The SHINE mission is to provide free, unbiased health insurance counseling through a dedicated network of volunteers, empowering Florida seniors to make informed health care choices.
