The Allegro Community Director Goes To Jail
For A Good Cause
The Allegro at Helmwood
September 10, 2009 — Elizabethtown, KY — Steve Sanford, the Allegro at Helmwood’s Community Director was arrested on September 10th as a special fundraising event for the Alzheimer’s Association. At noon, Steve was picked up by a local police officer, handcuffed and taken to the Elizabethtown Police Department where he waited anxiously as Allegro residents and other community members raised money for his bail. Allegro residents collected over $160 and also participated in calling random Elizabethtown residents asking for donations while at the police station. A total of $400 was raised to release Steve and the money was entirely donated for the Alzheimer’s Memory Walk that will take place on September 26 at Freeman Lake Park.
