Wellness Fair To Fight Cancer

The Allegro at Harbour Island

October 6, 2009 — St. Augustine, FL — The Allegro at Harbour Island and Ponce Home Medical Equipment Co. jointly hosted a Wellness Fair and Fundraiser to Fight Cancer. The annual event took place on Tuesday, October 6, 2009, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the businesses located on Plantation Island Drive South off State Route 312.

Health related service providers from the area presented wellness products and services aimed at maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The event also featured a Walk for Awareness and educational workshops presented by Cathy Conner, RN, BSN, Patient Navigator from the Breast Center at Flagler Hospital. Pink Paper Bag Lunches were available for purchase, and a shopping spree at the Premium Outlet Mall was the first prize in a drawing held at the event.

All proceeds were donated to Flagler Health Care Foundation, Inc. for the benefit of The Cancer Care Resource Center. Sponsors for the event included The Record, Pantaleon Pathology Associates, and Flagler Healthcare Foundation.
