The waiting is over. The land has been purchased, the construction contract signed, and the building permit approved and purchased. The Allegro at Willoughby should be complete by January, 2011, with the first occupancy available the next month to members in The Founders’ Club—more details on that special program to be announced later!
No tour can begin until the building can be experienced directly, but a narrative walking tour can preview what is planned. This exceptional community will include three ponds adding up to 1.5 acres, with the first pond nestled between the two independent living wings, featuring a landscaped walking trail. The second provides a beautiful border between The Allegro and the residential communities to the north. The third is poolside, creating a vista past a dramatic fountain to the landscaped preserve area.
Returning to the main entry, the interior vista will be equally impressive – opening into a four story atrium with a grand stair beyond. Moving past the ground floor game and activity rooms the café and bistro beckon, with the main dining rooms just beyond. On the second floor for quieter moments there is both a business center and a library, as well as the community center for larger gatherings. Proceeding to the top floor reveals ‘extra touch’ elements: the stadium style theater, the fitness center, and a complete spa inclusive of salon services, whirlpool, massage and meditation rooms. Apartments will be available in a variety of sizes and configurations. Most will have tiled entry foyers, granite countertops in the kitchen and baths, and spacious walk-in closets.
